The "Domaine des Hauts de Vaugrenier"
The Domaine des Hauts de Vaugrenier is situated in a 1.15 Km2 park with more than 50 000 trees. Divided in 11 parts or "Hameaux", it consist in 40% Villas and 60% flats. Although the majority of its clients are French, others nationalities are represented, e.g. North European, Swiss, Italian, American and British. Today, like yesterday, who can resist the very special attraction of the DOMAINE, its quality of life and its panoramic views on the sea and mountains.

If all the inhabitant of the Hauts de Vaugrenier have been seduced by the charm of this green oasis next to the sea, its security services are one of its advantages which convince everyone. 11 security-guard look after it.
In the Hauts de Vaugrenier, the security starts with a security gate and house held by a guard to whom one must refer before entering. In addition, each "Hameau" has its own guard who lives in a house situated on the spot, and is available 24H/24. Each dwelling is directly connected to the main Security-guard and each call is immediatly identified on an electronic screen. Each guard, including the main guard, is directly connected in his turn to the head of the security, who is himself a "Hameau" guard.
All the guards are connected with each other by radio, including the guard in charge of doing rounds. A guerd drives permanently through the whole Domaine on a motorbyke, according to a circuit and timetable which are always altered. These rounds help to control any movements which might be suspect, and look after villas and flats whose owners are absent.

The leisure installations of the Domaine are managed by the "Association du Club du Domaine des Hauts de Vaugrenier". The club is a real place of conviviality for all its members. it offers activities for all and frequent meetings for Scrabble or bridge games.
The club is also a starting spot for various sports such as "boules", cycling or walking tours. Every month, the club issues a paper called "Gazette" in which the person responsible for each activity writes a summary of the said activity and the program for the month to come.

50 000 trees in a 0,82 Km2 green area
Originally, the Hauts de Vaugrenier where nothing but a vast dry land lefts to rabbits and wild pigs. millions of cubic meters of soil were necessary in order to level out the said land and, above all, cover the rocks with a sufficiently thick layer for plants to take roots. 50 000 trees of various species were then planted, offering 0,82 Km2 of green area out of the 1,15 Km2 comprised in the domaine, which became the most beautiful park of the region, a green oasis, a paradise for cicadas. And because there is no oasis without water, three artificial lakes were
created, today all inhabited by tenchesn carps and others happy animals such as swans and duck.
Since the dimensions of the Domaine did not permit the creation of impeccable parks and flower-beds, the vegetation of the Hauts de Vaugrenier grows in an exuberant fashion which really helps to lend to the Domaine its natural and relaxed atmosphere.
Here, woods follow meadows and lawns, whereas further on colourful ivies cover the embakments. Small eucalyptus woods perfume the site, ciders bring their shade to the tennis-courts and enhance the site. Everywhere, pines welcome cicadas for a long summer-song. All this vegetation surrounds the carefully maintained private gardens outside the richly decorated villas.
